How to Install Luxury Vinyl Flooring

Luxury Vinyl flooring is one of the most popular flooring choices for homeowners today for many reasons, and their ease of installation is one of them! We have a team of professionally trained installers to get the job done for you right and on time.

There are many different ways to install luxury vinyl flooring, continue reading below to learn more.

Floating Installation

Floating installation for luxury vinyl flooring means that the floor is neither glued nor nailed down. The planks or tiles are laid loosely over your subfloor and are locked together using a tongue-and-groove system. This allows you to actually re use these floors if you happen to move from your home or want to use them in a different room. This is a great option if you want to cover up an existing tile or hardwood floor.

Glue Down installation

This type of installation is self-explanatory. Our installers use flooring grade glue and apply it to the bottom of the plank or tile. This ensures the stability of the floor and that the tiles or planks will not move around as you walk over them. This option is best for a cement or plywood subfloor that is clean and free of imperfections.

There is a lot to consider before installing a new floor in your home. Watch this short video where our Flooring Expert Jim Aaron explains what you should know before installation.
